A mail gateway sits in front of your mail server or Microsoft 365 and checks every message before it reaches the inbox. Phishing and malware never get to your staff.

Email archiving under GeBüV
Business emails such as invoices, quotes, contracts and orders are part of your business records. Under the Swiss Code of Obligations and the Ordinance on Business Records (GeBüV) they generally have to be kept for ten years, unaltered and readable at any time.
Which records must be kept and for how long depends on your business. If in doubt, check with your fiduciary; we take care of the technical side.

All incoming and outgoing emails are archived automatically, before anyone can delete them.

Each email gets a checksum when archived. Any later change would be detected.

Does this work with Microsoft 365?
Yes. The mail gateway and DMARC setup can be placed in front of any mail system.
What does DMARC actually do?
Recipients can verify that an email really comes from you. Fake invoices or payment requests in your name are rejected.
Is the mailbox enough as an archive?
No. Emails in a mailbox can be deleted or changed. An archive stores them separately, unaltered and searchable, even after staff leave.
